As UK-based Iranians who support the Palestinian struggle for freedom, we condemn in the strongest terms the illegal Israeli attacks on Iran. While we, together with the greatest majority of our compatriots living in Iran, have opposed the Islamic Republic of Iran, we condemn military intervention and attempts at regime change by foreign powers and reserve our strongest condemnation for the pariah state in Tel Aviv and its Western backers. While ordinary Iranians have suffered for decades under the harshest regime of sanctions, Western powers have stood by the genocidal – and nuclear- regime of Israel- have armed and financed it and have enabled it to carry out with impunity, the mass murder of tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians and the deliberate starvation of a whole population. Western hypocrisy knows no bounds.
