From Sudan to Palestine: United in London’s March Against Genocide and Injustice

On Saturday, January 13, 2024, a staggering 500,000 angry people flooded the streets of London, united in a passionate demand to stop the ongoing genocide in Palestine and seek justice for the Palestinian people. The demonstration garnered support from various communities and organisations, reflecting a growing global movement against the injustices occurring in the region.

Statement on the 5th Anniversary of Sudan’s People’s Revolution

On the fifth anniversary of the Sudanese revolution of 2018, we, the undersigned, stand united in our solidarity with the Sudanese people, whose unwavering determination against  the oppressive forces of dictatorship has inspired millions worldwide. Our hearts go out to the workers, students, women, and men who have and are still courageously fighting for freedom, peace, and justice, carrying on a legacy of resistance that can be traced back to Sudan’s struggle for independence from British colonial rule in 1956.

In London on Saturday, September 30, 2023, the National Education Union headquarters at Hamilton House hosted the Sudan Solidarity Conference 2023. Organised by the Middle East and North Africa Solidarity Network (MENA Solidarity) and British and Sudanese unions and organisations in a display of unity and support for the Sudanese people. Notably, this marks the third Sudan Solidarity Conference organised by MENA Solidarity and proved to be the largest to date.
