MENA Solidarity is supporting protests called by Sudanese unions and organisations around the world

MENA Solidarity is supporting protests called by Sudanese unions and organisations around the world who have been working to establish an international resistance. Our collective efforts aim to work together and coordinate actions in support of the Sudanese revolution, to stop the war, demand accountability, and commemorate the tragic massacres that occurred on June 3, 2019, during the sit-in protests held in Khartoum and numerous other cities.

On that day, former friends (Sudanese armed forces & Rapid Support Forces) who are now enemies simultaneously attacked the protesters in the sit-ins. The magnitude of the violence was horrifying, resulting in the deaths of a large number of protesters, injuries, rapes, burnings alive, and even unimaginable acts of cruelty, such as tying protestors’ legs to rocks and throwing them into the Nile.

Almost four years have passed since that fateful day, yet the state’s oppression and aggression have only intensified. The crimes committed against revolutionaries have expanded to encompass atrocities against the entire nation. The fighting forces persist in perpetrating crimes against humanity, relentlessly pushing the country further toward the brink of civil war.

In light of these ongoing atrocities, we call upon individuals, unions, and organisations from all corners of the world to unite in solidarity and join the protests. These demonstrations will serve as a powerful statement against the brutality and injustice faced by the Sudanese people.

The protests will take place in various cities, with the list of locations being regularly updated. Among the confirmed locations are:
London, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Washington, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Calgary, Hamilton, London – Ontario, Paris, North Rhine-Westphalia, Cologne, Berlin, Lausanne, Brisbane, and many others.

We urge everyone to access our toolkit and participate in signing our postcard addressed to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, calling upon the British government to stand in solidarity with the people of Sudan. By joining together in a united front, we can amplify our voices and send a resounding message of solidarity to the Sudanese people. Let us stand together on June 3rd, demanding justice, accountability, and an end to the atrocities being committed.
Together, we can make a difference and contribute to a brighter future for Sudan.

Freedom, peace, and justice; revolution is the choice of the people.
We will not back down. We have demands.
