Sudan Solidarity Conference 2024
Three years after the military coup: resisting war, building solidarity

Join leading Sudanese activists for this online meeting marking three years since the military coup of October 2021, which saw the leaders of the two principal militias – the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces – overthrow civilian members of the Transitional Government. We will discuss how revolution turned to counter-revolution and war and how activists from the Sudanese Resistance Committees responded by organising Emergency Rooms to provide basic supplies. We will also hear about the struggles of trade unionists and campaigners to keep organising for survival and against war. This meeting will bring voices from the frontline of a marginalised and ignored conflict, which is being fuelled by regional powers competing for influence over Sudan’s rich resources and call for solidarity with the Sudanese people’s struggle for freedom, peace and justice.
