قررت النقابة العامة البريطانية للعاملين في المخابر والصناعة الغذائية في مؤتمرها السنوي أن ترسل رسالة تضامن إلى عمال إيفكو في مصر مع نضالهم من أجل العدالة و الحقوق النقابية

“النقابة العامة للعاملين في المخابز والصناعة الغذائية تندد بغلق المصنع والأبواب أمام 600 عامل ورفض الشركة الاعتراف بالاتفاق الجماعي الذي سبق توقيعه. وتطالب النقابة بان تقوم الشركة بالوصول إلى حل سريع و عادل يحترم العمال. “

سمع الؤتمر أيضاً تقرير من عبير عشور رئيسة النقابة المستقلة للعاملين في إنتاج الخبز في سويس عن الأزمة في توزيع الخبز وفشل الحكومة المصرية في ضمان توفير الخبز للملايين من الفقراء في مصر

ستقوم النقابة بارسال تقارير لأعضاىها بالبرلمان لاعلامهم بالقضايا وحشد الدعم من المعنيين

At this year’s BFAWU Annual Conference in Bridlington, delegates sent a message of solidarity to Egyptian IFFCO workers in their struggle for fairness and justice.

The BFAWU condemns the lockout of these 600 workers, as well as the company’s refusal to recognise the signed collective agreement and urges the company to engage in a quick and fair resolution that shows respect for its workforce.

We have also been sent a report from Abeer Ashour, the President of the Union of Bread Sellers and Producers in Suez concerning the Egyptian government’s failure to guarantee crucial bread supplies to millions of the country’s poorest people.

Egyptian activists in the UK are planning a protest at the Egyptian Embassy in London on June 30th, in conjunction with mass anti-government demonstrations in Egypt on the same day, although full details are yet to be confirmed.

The BFAWU will be forwarding reports of all these issues to its parliamentary group of MPs in order to inform and garner support for those concerned.
